I am running for Idaho House Seat 1A because North Idaho deserves strong, conservative, Republican representation. I am a patriotic American; a lifetime Republican who will support the Republican platform, positively impact the future of Idaho, and ensure that every voice is heard. Every two years, Idahoans have the opportunity to reflect on where their elected leaders are taking them, and make course corrections when necessary. I believe that my opponent, Mark Sauter (no relation) is taking us on a path toward liberalism, which is apparent if you search his voting record. In the 2025 Legislative Session, Mark voted with the Democrats more than 83% of the time.

The top issues I plan to address are:

*Tax Relief - Fiscal Responsibility - State Spending

I consider Grocery Tax repeal as a baby step, and the elimination of Property Tax as a giant leap. I do believe that a Property Tax reduction is in order, and that a complete elimination is possible in the near future.

State spending has become reckless, wasteful and disproportional. The State budget has grown by roughly 60% in the last 6 years. Moving money between categories is not a plan. Stopping the pattern of growing government should be the goal.

*Illegal Immigration - Problems and Solutions

We feed, clothe, house, educate and medicate illegal aliens with our tax dollars! 57% of illegals are using welfare in one way or another compared to 37% of American citizens.

We have crowding in our facilities:

*Schools

*Jails

*Medical facilites

It’s highly probable that the illegals are responsible for our housing shortage and prices.

We are supposed to be funneling our resources to our own citizens who are truly needy. We may feel safe up here in North Idaho, but no one is immune from the effects of millions of migrants who have come here illegally.

*Education
We must protect children from harm and danger in every form. I would never vote to allow inappropriate books in the children’s area of a library. I will stand firm against the transgender agenda, making sure that children receive actual gender affirmation, that the gender they were born as, is PERFECT, and that God did not make a mistake.
I support education in all its’ forms, whether private, public, or home school, and I strongly stand for the rights of parents to make wise choices pertaining to their children.

The Right to Keep and Bear Arms

As a member of Gun Owners of America, Idaho 2nd Amendment Alliance, and the NRA, I strongly believe that we must hold the line on every attempt that the left uses to infringe on our gun rights. I have a clear understanding of our 2nd Amendment rights, and will stand firmly against any and all attempts to disarm the American people. Our founding fathers gave us the Second Amendment in order that we would be able to defend ourselves against a tyrannical government. I know of no country that has truly thrived after giving up their rights to freely own firearms.

Illegal Immigration

We have the Democratic Obama and Biden administrations to thank for the huge mess they have created with illegal immigration. The illegals have exhausted all the resources that have been unconstitutionally allotted to them. They’ve taken our jobs, our tax dollars and our medical services. Their criminals have filled our jails and prisons to capacity. The crimes they commit are some of the worst in our nation’s history. There is no justification for allowing illegal aliens to stay in our country! They must all go out and come back in lawfully, by the correct procedures.

The literal flood of illegal criminals that have entered our country is at levels we have never experienced in our history. I will not compromise when it comes to guaranteeing the timely removal of illegal aliens.

Financial Accountability

I am committed to making sure that your freedom is not encroached upon by the government. I believe that a smaller government is better, and that for most things, the general populace is able to self-govern, giving the private sector the ability to provide many services, as opposed to everything being handed out by a government agency.

I am in favor of repealing the Idaho Grocery Tax and will work toward that end. I will also work together with other Conservative Republican legislators to bring real solutions to the table concerning property tax and income tax relief. I am a fiscal conservative who realizes that, rather than shifting the tax burden to another category of taxation, the Legislature will have to cut spending in order to propose eliminating property taxes completely. The government was never intended to be a charity. Rolling back entitlements and welfare programs will be difficult, but not impossible. It will be hard work to return our state to it’s proper role.

Over 40% of Idaho’s yearly budget is funded by the Federal Government. That’s debt that our children and grandchildren are going to be saddled with. To achieve less dependence on Federal money and become a stronger state, our leaders at the State level will need integrity, discipline, and the ability to represent their constituents over and above corporations and pet projects.
